Keyword Rank Checker

Enter a keyword and your domain to see whether your site appears on the first page of Google, and at which position. It is the quickest way to spot-check a page after you publish or update it.

How the rank checker works

The checker reads the current top ten results for your keyword in the chosen country and looks for your domain. If your site ranks, you see its position and the ranking URL. If it does not appear, it is not currently on page one.

If you are not on page one

  • Check the SERP Overview to see what type of content ranks and how strong it is.
  • Compare your page's backlinks with the ranking pages using Backlinks Overview.
  • Make sure the page clearly targets the keyword in its title, H1 and opening paragraph.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I see a different position when I search myself?

Your own searches are personalised by location, history and device. The checker uses a neutral view of the results for the selected country.

Does it check positions beyond page one?

No, it checks the first page (top ten). Positions beyond page one receive very little traffic, so page one is where tracking matters most.
